LANCOM LANcare Basic M (item 10721), now sold by Rohde & Schwarz as R&S NC Replacement Basic M, is a five-year replacement service for one LANCOM device in service class M. It includes security updates until the device reaches end of life (at least five years), and if the device fails it is repaired or exchanged within five business days after it arrives at the manufacturer. RMA notification runs on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CET. The service is registered to the device serial number. In practice it extends support for a business router or firewall far beyond the standard term.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The service class must match your device. Each LANCOM device datasheet states its class (S, M, L or XL); for example the 883 VoIP router is class S (item 10720), not M. Register within three months of buying the device, and the device must work correctly at registration. It is not an advance replacement (that is the Replacement Advanced service) and does not cover unmanaged switches, AirLancer products or accessories. Tell us your device model and we confirm the class.
