Club 3D CAC-1336 · HDMI to USB-C Active Adapter
HDMI → USB-C4K120 / 8K30Micro-USB poweredOne-way
The Club 3D CAC-1336 is an active adapter that connects an HDMI source, such as a PC, laptop, console or media player, to a monitor that only has a USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) video input. Part number CAC-1336 has an HDMI male input plug, a USB-C female output and a Micro-USB female port for power.
It supports up to 4K at 120 Hz or 8K at 30 Hz according to the DP Alt Mode capability of the display, and comes with a 1 m USB-A to Micro-USB power cable.
Compatibility note: The conversion works in one direction only: HDMI source to USB-C display. It needs 5 V / 1.5 A on the Micro-USB port and works only with self-powered USB-C monitors; it does not charge a laptop and cannot turn a USB-C laptop port into an HDMI output. For the highest modes the display should support DSC 1.2.

Singular Expert Insight
The CAC-1336 solves a specific problem well: a portable or USB-C-only monitor with an HDMI device such as a console or desktop PC. It is not a general USB-C to HDMI adapter, and many buyers actually need the reverse direction, so check which side the source is on before ordering. See all HDMI Cables & Adapters.
✓ Buy it if you want to connect an HDMI PC, console or player to a self-powered USB-C-only monitor.
✕ Skip it if you want to connect a USB-C laptop to an HDMI display, or your monitor is bus-powered.
→ Also consider A USB-C to HDMI adapter for the reverse direction.
