The Apple Mac mini is a compact desktop built around Apple silicon, supplied without a display, keyboard or mouse. Current models use the M4 and M4 Pro chips, with unified memory shared between CPU, GPU and Neural Engine, NVMe storage and Thunderbolt connectivity.
It suits design and video work, software development, and office positions where desk space and noise matter. Memory and storage are configured at manufacture and cannot be changed later, so specify them for the whole life of the machine rather than the first year.
M4
The standard chip. Enough for office work, development and everyday creative tasks.
M4 Pro
More CPU and GPU cores and higher memory bandwidth, for video editing, 3D and heavier workloads.
Fixed at Purchase
Unified memory and SSD capacity are not upgradeable after purchase. External storage connects over Thunderbolt or USB.
