GM4200-BK-433-WLC is a black cordless 1D linear imager that communicates through Datalogic STAR at 433.92MHz. It supports inductive battery charging, but this sales unit is the reader only: the compatible radio/charging base and host cable must be obtained separately. It suits extending or replacing a reader in a verified compatible installation.

Before you order:
No base or cable is included. This GM model is not Bluetooth and cannot be paired directly as a Bluetooth scanner. It reads 1D barcodes, not QR or Data Matrix. Verify the exact 433MHz base, power and host connection before ordering; the K1 kit is a different supplied configuration.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, staff take the reader to a carton label and scan it. The compatible STAR base receives the data and passes it to the host application through its configured cable. Inductive charging also takes place through the separately required compatible base; wireless radio does not mean operation without this supporting equipment.

What Will Not Work

  • No direct Bluetooth pairing to a phone or generic Bluetooth dongle.
  • No QR/Data Matrix decoding; choose a verified 2D model for those codes.

Reach the label with STAR radio
The 433.92MHz STAR system provides two-way point-to-point or multipoint communication, with up to 16 readers per receiver. The 50m open-air reference depends on the environment.
 
Linear imaging and visible confirmation
CCD imaging reads standard 1D codes, including linear GS1DataBar. Green Spot and the dual LEDs provide good-read confirmation, while Motionix responds to the operator lifting and moving the reader.
 
Inductive charging for a compatible base
The replaceable 2550mAh lithium-ion battery charges inductively. The reference 4-hour charge requires external 12V DC; select the compatible base and power arrangement separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my existing Bluetooth receiver?
No. This is a STAR 433.92MHz GM model. Check a compatible 433MHz Datalogic base rather than a Bluetooth receiver or a 910MHz base.
Why is the 147cm range not a general working distance?
It is the typical reference for Code39 at 20mil. Finer codes have shorter listed ranges, and symbol length, angle, print quality and light affect the result.
Is a five-year factory warranty included?
The primary datasheet lists three years for cordless models. Its five-year term applies to corded models; optional service plans are separate.
