Compatibility — check before buying:
The display behaviour is the thing to understand before you buy. The two HDMI outputs give up to 4K at 30 Hz on a single display; in dual-display mode both outputs drop to 1080p. That is enough for presentations, spreadsheets and dashboards, but it is not the adapter for two 4K monitors or for anything where refresh rate matters. MST extended desktop works on Windows only — on macOS the second output mirrors rather than extends, which is a limitation of Apple’s USB-C implementation and not of this adapter. Your laptop’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode; a data-only or charge-only USB-C port will not drive the video outputs. The 100 W Power Delivery input passes charge through to the laptop but no power supply is included — you use your own.
