Before you choose
- Card types. Check that the reader supports every card you use, including UHS-II SD if you have fast camera cards.
- Connector. USB-C readers suit MacBooks, iPads and newer laptops.
- Smart cards. For government eID or digital signature, check the issuer's list of supported readers and drivers.
