The i-tec U3HUB742 gives a computer seven USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports at up to 5 Gbps, two of which support BC 1.2 fast charging for tablets and phones — i-tec identifies them as the two ports next to the LED. The 12 V / 2 A adapter is included and required, along with a detachable 90 cm USB-A-to-USB-B host cable. Part number U3HUB742 measures 133 × 60 × 27 mm, weighs 107 g and comes with i-tec’s 2-year warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Host connection is USB-A to USB-B using the supplied 90 cm cable; a USB-C-only laptop needs a C-to-B cable or a C-to-A adapter, not included. The hub will not run without its adapter — i-tec states seven-port operation requires it. Only two of the seven ports are the fast-charge ports; i-tec publishes no amperage figure for them beyond “BC 1.2”. No video, no Ethernet, no charging of the computer.
