ICY BOX IB-HUB1403 — four USB ports that come up through the desk
4 x USB 3.0 at 5 GbpsFits a 60 mm cable hole58 mm installation depthDust cover supplied
The ICY BOX IB-HUB1403 puts four USB 3.0 Type-A ports where your hand already is: in the cable feed-through hole most office desks already have. It fixes with an adapter ring and no tools, needs 58 mm of clearance underneath, and the hole still passes monitor and power cables around it. A 120 cm USB 3.0 cable is built in and runs straight to the machine, and a dust cover closes the sockets when they are not in use.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Measure first: this needs a 60 mm cable feed-through hole and 58 mm of clearance below the desktop. A 50 mm or 80 mm grommet will not take it, and there is no edge clamp — a desk with no hole is not a candidate. The hub is bus-powered; ICY BOX allows an optional 5 V power supply to be connected for charging devices, but none is included and no per-port current is published. Check the model letter before ordering: the IB-HUB1403A adds a 3.5 mm audio input and output in the same housing, and there is also an IB-HUB1403B — the photographs are nearly identical.
Best For
✓ Desks where the USB ports are behind the tower
✓ Open-plan offices that want cables out of sight
✓ Meeting and training rooms with fixed desks
✓ Hot-desking and shared workstations
✓ Flash drives, card readers and phone cables
✓ Desks that already have a 60 mm grommet hole
Key Features
Uses the hole the desk already has
The tool-free adapter ring fits a standard 60 mm cable feed-through in an installation depth of 58 mm — and the pass-through still works, so monitor and power cables keep their route.
Four ports at 5 Gbps
All four are USB 3.0 Type-A running up to 5 Gbps, fast enough for an external SSD or a card reader rather than only for a mouse.
Covered when it is idle
A dust cover is supplied. Sockets set into a desktop collect crumbs and dust faster than anything on the back of a PC, and covering them is what keeps the contacts working.

Singular Expert Insight
A hub only helps if the ports end up somewhere you can reach, and that is the whole argument for the IB-HUB1403 over anything else in our USB hub range: it moves four USB 3.0 sockets to the desktop and hides the cable in a hole the desk already has. The trade is permanence — 120 cm of lead, an adapter ring and a 60 mm cut-out — in exchange for never crawling behind a tower again. Choose the IB-HUB1403A instead if headsets are part of the day; the two audio jacks are the only difference. If the desk has no feed-through, or the hub needs to move between machines, a desktop model is the right call, and our monitor and desk accessories cover the mounts and cable management that finish the job.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your desk has a 60 mm cable hole with at least 58 mm of clearance underneath. You are tired of reaching behind the machine for a USB port. You want a clean, permanent installation with a cover for the sockets when they are empty.
Skip it if
Your desk hole is 50 mm or 80 mm, or there is no hole — there is no edge clamp on this model. You want audio jacks at the desk: that is the IB-HUB1403A. You need charging power at the surface, since no supply is included and no per-port current is published.
Also consider
ICY BOX IB-HUB1403A for the same hub with audio in and out. A desktop hub if the machine changes often or the desk has no cut-out. An in-desk charger if power rather than data is what you want at the surface.
