Jabra Evolve2 55 — MS Stereo Bluetooth Headset with Active Noise Cancellation
Active noise cancellation360-degree busylightBluetooth 5.2, two devices at onceJabra Link 380a included
The Jabra Evolve2 55 is the compact member of the Evolve2 range and the one that actually cancels noise: it is a wireless on-ear office headset with active noise cancellation, a 360-degree busylight and a boom arm you flip up to mute. This article, 25599-999-989, is the MS stereo version with the Jabra Link 380a adapter for a USB-A port, supplied with the charging stand. At 28 mm the drivers are smaller than the Evolve2 65 and the battery is shorter, but the ANC and the newer Bluetooth 5.2 radio are what you are buying here.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The adapter in this box plugs into a USB-A port. On a laptop with only USB-C ports you will need your own adapter or hub. There is no 3.5 mm jack and no wired-USB audio mode — the supplied 1.2 m cable charges the headset and nothing else, so a desk phone or a device without Bluetooth cannot use this headset. There is no wireless charging either. This is the Microsoft version: the dedicated button opens Microsoft Teams, and on Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco or Webex the headset works fully but that button has nothing to open. The charging stand is included in this article.
Best For
✓ Open-plan and shared offices where noise is the actual problem
✓ People who want ANC and a boom mic in one device
✓ Hybrid workers switching between a laptop and a phone
✓ Teams-first offices that want the dedicated Teams button
✓ Focus work where both ears should be covered
✓ Desks that want a lighter headset than the Evolve2 65
Key Features
Active noise cancellation that is actually there
Jabra builds the ANC around a dedicated acoustic chamber and chipset. This is the difference that matters against the Evolve2 65, which has no ANC at all — if noise in the room is the problem you are solving, this is the model in the family that solves it.
360-degree busylight
The busylight is readable from every angle, turns red automatically during a call, and also lights up to confirm the headset has docked on the charging stand or that a call is coming in. Press both volume buttons together to control it manually.
Two analog and two digital MEMS microphone array
The microphone set keeps your voice clear of the room, and the boom arm mutes the moment you lift it. On the stereo version Jabra publishes two analog plus two digital MEMS microphones.
16 hours, or 10 with ANC running
Jabra publishes up to 16 hours of talk time with ANC and busylight off, and up to 10 hours with both on; music time is 18 hours and 15 hours on the same basis. A full charge takes about two hours, and 30 minutes gets you to roughly half.

Singular Expert Insight
The Evolve2 55 exists for one reason: it is the Evolve2 with real active noise cancellation. If you compare it to the Evolve2 65 on paper the 65 wins on drivers and on battery, and people order the 65 and then discover it has no ANC. This article is the MS stereo on the Jabra Link 380a. The same headset without the stand is 25599-999-999, the UC version with a stand is 25599-989-989, and 25599-999-889 is the USB-C adapter with a stand. Choose by three things and nothing else: how many ears, which adapter port, and whether you need a Teams button. Our Office & VoIP Headsets range also carries the DECT and wired alternatives if the headset has to reach a desk phone, and Headphones covers the analogue boom-mic models. Tell us your softphone and your laptop ports and we will confirm the article number before you order.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want active noise cancellation and a professional boom microphone in the same headset, on both ears, with a busylight that stops people walking up to your desk mid-call. The Jabra Link 380a is pre-paired for USB-A.
Skip it if
You are on calls for eight hours without a break — the Evolve2 65 gives 35 hours against 16 here. Skip it too if you need a 3.5 mm jack, a wired USB connection or a desk-phone connection, because it has none of those.
Also consider
Evolve2 65 for double the battery and 40 mm drivers but no ANC, Evolve2 65 Flex for hybrid ANC in a headband that folds flat, or the mono version of this same article if you want the other wearing style.
