LevelOne POR-0111 — take Gigabit PoE beyond 100 metres

+100 mCascadable to 400 mGigabitNo PSU needed

The LevelOne POR-0111 is a Gigabit PoE repeater that solves the 100-metre Ethernet limit. Placed in the middle of a long cable run, it takes power and data from the PoE switch or injector and passes them on for another 100 m, so an access point or IP camera can sit further away. Several units can be cascaded for up to 400 m in total. It needs no external power supply and no configuration.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The POR-0111 takes its power from the PoE source upstream, so you need a PoE switch or injector (802.3af/at). The power it passes on is what remains after its own use (under 3 W) and cable losses, so a device near its PoE limit may not start at the far end. It is a repeater, not a switch: one device per chain. LevelOne makes non-Gigabit and 2-port repeaters under other codes. Tell us the exact model you have and we check compatibility before you order.

Before You Order
Power class Check how many watts your device needs (PoE, PoE+ or PoE++) and choose equipment with headroom.
Cable Use good-quality Cat5e or Cat6 copper cable; long runs and thin cable reduce the power that arrives.
Distance Standard Ethernet reaches 100 m per segment; plan repeaters or a closer switch for longer runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need a power adapter?
No. It takes power from the PoE switch or injector.
How far can I go?
100 m more per unit, up to 400 m with repeaters in a chain.
Will the data stay Gigabit?
Yes, it forwards 10/100/1000 Mbps.
Can I connect two devices?
No, it has one PoE output. It is a repeater, not a switch.
Singular Expert Insight
Plan the power budget for long chains: every repeater and every metre of cable use some power, so a camera with heaters or IR at full draw may need a PoE+ or higher source. Use good Cat5e or Cat6 copper cable. PoE switches are in our PoE switches and access points in our access points.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

you need to put a PoE camera or access point more than 100 m from the switch.

Skip it if

your device needs its own connection per port, or there is mains power near the device.
