Lindy 40928 Active DisplayPort to HDMI Cable, 5 m

Connect a DisplayPort PC or graphics card to a 4K HDMI TV, monitor or projector at 60Hz with HDR.
4K @ 60Hz · HDRActive DP 1.2 → HDMI 2.05 mMultichannel audio

The Lindy 40928 is a 5 m active adapter cable with a DisplayPort male connector on one end and an HDMI Type A male on the other. An active chipset converts DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 (18 Gbps), delivering up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz (4:4:4 8-bit or 4:2:2 12-bit) with HDR and multichannel audio.

Because the conversion is active, it works even with DisplayPort outputs that do not support dual-mode (DP++), such as many workstation and multi-output graphics cards.

Compatibility Note: Signal direction is one-way: DisplayPort source to HDMI display only. It will not connect an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Lindy 40928 work with a graphics card that has only DisplayPort outputs?
Yes. It contains an active converter, so it works with standard and non-DP++ DisplayPort outputs and needs no external power.
Can I use it to connect a laptop HDMI port to a DisplayPort monitor?
No. The 40928 converts in one direction only, from DisplayPort to HDMI. For HDMI to DisplayPort you need a dedicated powered converter.
Singular Expert Insight
At 5 m, the 40928 is ideal for running a PC tower under a desk or in a rack to a TV or projector further away. For 4K at 120Hz you would need Lindy newer DP 1.4 active cables (40930–40932 in 1–3 m lengths); for shorter desk runs the 40924–40927 siblings (0.5–3 m) are the same product in other lengths.
✓ Buy it if you need 4K60 HDR from a DisplayPort PC or GPU to an HDMI screen up to 5 m away.
✕ Skip it if you need 4K120 or HDMI-to-DisplayPort conversion.
→ Also consider Lindy 40927 (3 m) or 40926 (2 m) for desk-length runs.
