The Lindy 47899 is the RJ45 Port Blocker Extra Key in yellow: a single colour-coded key for Lindy’s RJ45 port blocker system. It fits and removes Lindy yellow RJ45 port blockers — you insert the key into the blocker and pull back to release it from the port. It is sold on its own, with no blockers in the bag, so it is the part you order as a spare for IT, as a second key for another site or technician, or to replace a lost one. In practice a spare key means a blocked network port can always be released when a cable really needs to go in, without waiting for the one person who holds the original.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a key only — no blockers are included. Lindy states its keys are colour-specific and only open blockers of the same colour, so this yellow key releases yellow Lindy RJ45 blockers and nothing else. If you do not own yellow blockers yet, order the Yellow RJ45 Port Blocker Kit 47900 (1 key + 10 locks) or the Yellow Extra Lock Pack 47901 (20 locks, no key).
