The Lindy 47899 is the RJ45 Port Blocker Extra Key in yellow: a single colour-coded key for Lindy’s RJ45 port blocker system. It fits and removes Lindy yellow RJ45 port blockers — you insert the key into the blocker and pull back to release it from the port. It is sold on its own, with no blockers in the bag, so it is the part you order as a spare for IT, as a second key for another site or technician, or to replace a lost one. In practice a spare key means a blocked network port can always be released when a cable really needs to go in, without waiting for the one person who holds the original.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a key only — no blockers are included. Lindy states its keys are colour-specific and only open blockers of the same colour, so this yellow key releases yellow Lindy RJ45 blockers and nothing else. If you do not own yellow blockers yet, order the Yellow RJ45 Port Blocker Kit 47900 (1 key + 10 locks) or the Yellow Extra Lock Pack 47901 (20 locks, no key). Are blockers included?
No. The 47899 is one yellow key only. For blockers, order the Yellow RJ45 Port Blocker Kit 47900 (1 key + 10 locks), or the Yellow Extra Lock Pack 47901 (20 locks, no key) if you already have the key.
Will it open blockers of another colour?
No. Lindy states the keys are colour-specific and work only with blockers of the same colour. That is deliberate: it lets you split ports between teams or zones. Tell us the colour you run and we match it.
Does it open Lindy USB or SFP blockers?
No. It is made for Lindy RJ45 port blockers. USB-A, USB-C and SFP blockers use their own keys or kits — ask us and we point you to the right part.
Why buy a spare key?
A blocked port cannot be used until it is released, so one key per site or technician avoids waiting for the person who holds the original. Keep at least one spare per colour with IT.
