The PLANET VC-234 is a 4-port Ethernet over VDSL2 bridge that extends a LAN over ordinary telephone-grade copper wiring, far beyond the 100 m limit of standard Ethernet. Using VDSL2 Profile 30a, it delivers up to 100/100 Mbps symmetric within 300 m and still reaches around 20/4 Mbps at up to 1.4 km. Supplied under part number VC-234 (EAN 4711213687112), it provides four 10/100 Ethernet ports plus RJ-11 jacks for the VDSL line and POTS pass-through. It is a wired long-reach extender — not a Wi-Fi router. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Important — used in pairs
The VC-234 works point-to-point and must be deployed as a matched pair: one unit set to CO (central) and one to CPE (client) via the DIP switch. A single unit cannot form a link on its own. It is a Layer-2 bridge with no Wi-Fi and no routing — connect it to your existing router or switch. All ports are 10/100 Mbps (the VC-234G is the Gigabit sibling).
