This is the UC configuration, which Poly’s own Savi 8210/8220 UC user guide describes as a computer-only system: headset, charging stand and a DECT USB adapter, with no desk phone connection. HP’s spec sheet for this part additionally lists Bluetooth 4.2, which belongs to the Savi 8200 Office base rather than to this UC configuration — we are giving you both because the difference decides whether this product suits you. If a desk phone or a mobile phone must reach this headset, order a Savi 8220 Office instead, which has the three-way base. Two more notes: the DECT adapter supplied here is USB-A, with a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box for newer machines, and the mono equivalent is the Savi 8210 UC at 115 g if one open ear is wanted.

Up to 180 metres in open space and around 55 metres through a typical office, which is the practical reason DECT still exists alongside Bluetooth. You can take a call to another room and back. The system is DECT security certified.
Hybrid ANC with a real switch
Active noise cancellation with a physical slide switch on the earcup rather than buried in software. The outgoing side is handled by a noise-cancelling boom microphone with close-conversation limiting, so the person you are speaking to is not sharing the room with you.
A stand, a case and an adapter in the box
The charging stand sits on the desk so the headset is always on charge between calls, the travel case protects it in a bag, and both the USB-A DECT adapter and a USB-A to USB-C adapter are supplied. Very little is left to buy separately.
