StarTech.com 2-in-1 Laptop Stand — Tilted Riser or Vertical Dock Stand
Tilt or vertical11-15" laptopsAluminium540 g
The StarTech.com 2-in-1 Laptop Stand (LTSTND2IN1) is an aluminium stand that either tilts an 11-15" laptop at 17° for typing or holds it upright in clamshell mode next to your monitors, for desks where space is tight.
Vertical mode is ideal when the laptop drives external monitors through a dock and its own screen is closed.
Before you order: In vertical mode the laptop must be 14-16 mm thick — two swappable silicone cradles (14 mm and 16 mm) hold it. Thicker laptops can still use the tilted mode.
What's in the Box
- 1 × laptop riser
- 2 × rubber covers (14 mm and 16 mm cradles)
- 1 × stability bracket
- 1 × quick-start guide
What It Means in Practice
- Tilted: the laptop sits at 17° for a better typing angle and airflow.
- Vertical: the closed laptop stands upright and takes only the base footprint (206 × 73 mm) on the desk.
- The open frame keeps ports reachable and lets air circulate.
- Non-skid silicone pads protect desk and laptop.
What Will Not Work
- Vertical mode with laptops thinner than 14 mm or thicker than 16 mm.
- Laptops larger than 15".
- It does not raise the screen to eye level — use external monitors in vertical mode.
- It has no ports — pair it with a dock for a one-cable setup.

✕ Skip it if your laptop is thicker than 16 mm and you want vertical mode, or it is larger than 15".
