StarTech.com EU Schuko Power Cable — 2 m, CEE 7/7 to IEC C13, 10 A 250 V, VDE Approved
Schuko CEE 7/7 plugIEC C13 kettle connector10 A, 250 V, VDE + CELifetime warranty
The StarTech.com EU Computer Power Cord, product ID PXT101EUR, is a 2 m black mains lead with a European Schuko (CEE 7/7) plug on one end and an IEC 60320 C13 connector on the other — the standard “kettle lead” that powers a desktop PC, monitor, printer, scanner, UPS, PDU or television with a C14 inlet. It is rated at 250 V and 10 A for a European supply, built from 3-conductor 100% copper at 0.75 mm² (18 AWG) in an H05VV-F rated PVC jacket, VW-1 fire rated, CE certified, with VDE approved connectors and fully moulded ends. StarTech.com backs it with a lifetime warranty. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug type is the thing to get right. This cord has a Schuko CEE 7/7 plug — the round two-pin continental European plug with side earth contacts — which does not fit a Cyprus or UK BS 1363 wall socket. In Cyprus it is the correct cord for equipment being shipped to or used in continental Europe, for a rack or PDU that provides Schuko outlets, or with a properly rated travel adapter; if you need a cord that plugs straight into a Cyprus wall socket, choose a BS 1363 to C13 lead instead. Note also that although StarTech.com’s title calls it “2-prong”, it is a 3-conductor earthed cord — Schuko carries the protective earth on side contacts rather than on a third pin. The C13 socket fits any device with a C14 inlet; a device with a larger C20 inlet needs a C19 cord. Operating range is 10 °C to 60 °C.
Key Features
Schuko CEE 7/7 — the continental European plug
The right cord for equipment destined for Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Spain and most of continental Europe, and for racks and PDUs that present Schuko outlets. CEE 7/7 is the hybrid plug that fits both German (Schuko) and French (CEE 7/5) sockets.
Rated 250 V at 10 A
A genuine European mains rating rather than a 125 V North American one. That distinction matters: many C13 cords sold online are UL-rated at 125 V, and on a 230 V supply that is not a detail to overlook.
3-conductor 100% copper at 0.75 mm²
Live, neutral and a real protective earth in solid copper at the standard cross-section for a 10 A appliance cord. Earth continuity is the single most important property of a mains lead for Class I IT equipment.
VDE approved connectors, CE certified, H05VV-F jacket
VDE approval on the connectors, CE certification and an H05VV-F harmonised cable rating — recognised European standards rather than a cord that is merely the right shape. VW-1 means the jacket self-extinguishes instead of carrying a flame.
Fully moulded ends
The overmould at both ends locks the conductors to the connector bodies, so pulling the cord out of a tight PDU or from behind a desk stresses the moulding rather than the terminations inside. Loose terminations in a mains connector are a fire risk, not merely a reliability one.

Singular Expert Insight
Mains leads are bought carelessly and they are the one accessory where the failure mode is a fire rather than an inconvenience. Three things are worth checking, and this cord is explicit about all three: a genuine three-conductor build with a protective earth, 0.75 mm² copper rather than an undersized conductor, and recognised European approvals — VDE on the connectors, CE, H05VV-F on the cable, VW-1 on the jacket. For a Cyprus buyer, though, the plug is the deciding factor: this is a continental Schuko cord, and Cyprus sockets are BS 1363. That makes it the right choice for equipment heading to Europe, for a rack or PDU with Schuko outlets, or as a spare for a device that came with one — and the wrong choice if you simply want to plug a PC into the wall here. Browse our PC power supplies range for the equipment this powers, and see our PC monitors section for displays with C14 inlets.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need a Schuko CEE 7/7 to C13 mains lead — for a PDU or rack with Schuko outlets, equipment destined for continental Europe, or as a replacement for a cord that came with one.
Skip it if
You want to plug straight into a Cyprus or UK wall socket — that needs a BS 1363 to C13 cord. Also skip it if your device has a C20 inlet or draws more than 10 A.
Also consider
BS 1363 to C13 power cords for Cyprus and UK sockets, C14 to C13 power extension cords for reaching a PDU outlet, or other lengths of this same Schuko cord.
