Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB 2.0 drive, not USB 3. It plugs into any modern port and works, but transfers at USB 2.0 speed whatever it is plugged into. At 4 GB that rarely matters — the whole drive fills in a few minutes — but be clear about what you are buying, because the JetFlash 350 body is identical in size to Transcend’s USB 3 drives: the JetFlash 700 and 730 measure 61.5 x 18.6 x 8.7 mm and weigh 8.5 g, the same figures to the tenth of a millimetre, and all are black. A photograph cannot tell them apart. One practical limit at this capacity: a 4 GB drive formatted FAT32 cannot hold a single file larger than 4 GB, and in practice the usable space is a little under the nominal figure — check your image size before buying this for installation media. This is a USB Type-A plug, so a phone would need an adapter that is not included, and the white version of this drive, the JetFlash 370, is made only in 32 GB and 64 GB.
