Good Connections HUB-C002A — USB-C Hub with HDMI, USB-A and 94 W Charging
HDMI up to 4K at 30 Hz1 x USB-A at 5 GbpsUp to 94 W chargingAluminium, 38 g
The Good Connections HUB-C002A is a three-port USB-C hub for a laptop that has run out of everything at once: it adds an HDMI output, one USB-A port at 5 Gbps and a dedicated charging socket, on a 20 cm cable. The body is anthracite aluminium, 9.9 x 2.2 x 1.6 cm and 38 g. It is made by ALCASA Elektronik under its Good Connections brand.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The HDMI output runs at 4K at 30 Hz, not 60. The product name says HDMI 2.0, which usually implies 4K60, but the manufacturer’s own specification states 4K at 30 Hz — and at 30 Hz a mouse pointer visibly stutters on a 4K desktop. For a 4K screen used for spreadsheets and documents it is workable; for anything where pointer feel matters, run the screen at 1080p or choose a hub with a 60 Hz output. The USB-C charging socket carries no data and no video — it exists only to pass power through to the laptop, rated up to 94 W with an approximately 10 W conversion loss published by the manufacturer. No charger is included. There is only one USB-A port, so this is a hub for a screen plus one device, not a hub for a desk full of peripherals. No Ethernet, no card reader.
Best For
✓ USB-C laptops that need a screen and charging from one cable
✓ Meeting rooms and hot desks with an HDMI display
✓ Documents, spreadsheets and presentations on a 4K screen
✓ 1080p or 1440p monitors, where the refresh limit does not bite
✓ Travelling light — 38 g, one cable, one bag pocket
✓ Users who already own a USB-C laptop charger
Key Features
A screen from a USB-C port
HDMI out with mirror or extend, up to 4K at 30 Hz. On a 1080p or 1440p monitor that limit is irrelevant; on a 4K desktop it is the thing to know before buying.
Charging that does not cost you a port
A dedicated USB-C socket takes your existing laptop charger and passes power through, rated up to 94 W. Without it, a hub on a single-port laptop means working on battery.
One fast USB-A port
A single USB-A socket at USB 3.0 / 5 Gbps — enough for a flash drive, a receiver or a keyboard while the screen and the charger occupy the other two connectors.
Aluminium and pocketable
An anthracite aluminium body, 9.9 x 2.2 x 1.6 cm and 38 g, with a 20 cm fixed cable. It travels with the laptop rather than living on a desk.

Singular Expert Insight
This is a travel hub, and it should be judged as one: one cable out of the bag gives you a screen, a device and a charger. The two things to be clear about before ordering are the single USB-A port and the 4K at 30 Hz ceiling, both of which are easy to miss because the name mentions HDMI 2.0. On a 1080p or 1440p meeting-room screen neither matters. On a 4K desk monitor used all day, the refresh limit will annoy you, and a docking station with a 60 Hz output is the honest recommendation instead. If the requirement is really more USB sockets rather than a screen, a plain four-port hub costs a fraction of this.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want one small cable that gives a USB-C laptop an HDMI screen, a USB-A port and pass-through charging, and the screen is 1080p, 1440p, or 4K used for documents.
Skip it if
Skip it if you need 4K at 60 Hz, if you need more than one USB-A port, or if Ethernet or a card reader are part of the requirement.
Also consider
A USB-C docking station if you need 4K60, several USB ports or a network socket, or a plain four-port hub if the screen is not actually part of the job.
